Animation
Numi the Goblin Girl
The Trailer for my senior project which is a pilot episode for the show concept I created.
Lip sync.
This is a frame by frame lip sync animation made in Procreate on an ipad. The idea for this short animation came from my time running Dungeons and Dragons games for my friends. In every group there’s always that one friend that likes to cause chaos in the game, this comedic short is about that problem player!
Parallax.
A parallax animation takes 2D planes and puts them into 3 dimensions. This was made in After Effects using real photos of the classic Rococo painting, The Swing. This painting happens to be my absolute favorite; it was exciting to bring it to life with subtle movements and extra dimension that I achieved through photoshop editing.
Experimental.
Experimenting with animation styles is something I love to explore. This particular project started with a video of myself playing the piano. I lowered the frame rate to make it choppy and imported it into Photoshop. From there I incorporated collage imagery, outlined my hands in Procreate, then threw it into After Effects to add the final touches!
Collaboration
This was a collaborative project created with my classmates. We all animated at least one portion of the video, every origami animal was animated by a different person. My main job was compositing, making the music and sound effects, and creating an origami crane animation.
Particle.
This project was created as a trailer for a Dungeons and Dragons module I am writing. I needed a way to creatively tell my classmates my story in a way that represented the unique “theatre of the mind” storytelling of D&D. I was going for a shadow puppet effect and I achieved this in After effects. I also utilized a Maxon Particular add-on to create the illusion of burning paper with floating ash particles.
