Design
This concept made it through the second round of voting. Though, I created many variations in an attempt to make the theme more representative of my senior class, ultimately I decided to remove it from the running. The name, Genesis, was meant to refer to a new beginning, the start of our professional careers in the design world. The concept took on an opposite view to my first idea. While it was agreed that the visuals were strong, the concept itself was weaker. I attempted to rectify this with different words in the same style, in the end I had to accept that while it was pretty, the theme was not meant for this senior exhibition.
This is a visual concept I created as a part of the Identity Committee for my 2024 senior class exhibition. While my concepts were not chosen, they were still strong contenders.
The first theme I worked with was Resolution, a play on words both referring to the ending of our senior year and to the visual resolution of an image. I thought this idea was fun with how it referenced a term that us digital media students use in our daily lives, as well as the conclusion to our time spent together in the digital media department.
